Information provided by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) is hosting a public meeting in Fredericksburg 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, to discuss prioritizing local projects.

The meeting is at Germanna Community College’s Center for Workforce & Community Education, 10000 Germanna Point Dr., Fredericksburg.

The meeting will consist of an open house from 5 – 6 p.m. where attendees can review and provide feedback on the list of proposed local and regional projects that localities submitted to be scored under a new prioritization process as legislated by House Bill 2.

Following the open house, the public and transportation stakeholders can engage in discussion and ask questions about the projects from 6 – 7 p.m. during a town hall session. There will be no formal public comment during the meeting.

The meeting in Fredericksburg is one of nine being held around the state this November on project prioritization. The complete list of meeting locations and dates is online.

One of the other meetings is in Culpeper on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.
