St. George’s Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg, Va., hosted an inter-faith service Friday, evening, Dec. 4, 2015, to recognize the importance of the Muslim community and freedom to practice religion.

“The news of shootings in San Bernadino, California, reminds us of the need to stand together in a world that is so often divided by violence,” said St. George’s staff in the invitation to the Prayer Vigil for Healing and Unity.

St. George’s, in partnership with their Muslim neighbors, invited the wider community to gather for the simple service.
