D.C. to Richmond Rail Meetings Scheduled, Public Input Sought

The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is holding a third round of public information meetings this week to receive public input and discuss alternatives to improve intercity passenger rail service from Washington, D.C. to Richmond, VA.

The D.C. to Richmond Southeast High Speed Rail open houses are from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with a presentation at 6 p.m. each evening.

The meetings will be held in Fredericksburg, Springfield and Richmond.
