Public Meeting to Review Route 610 Road Construction Projects

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and Stafford County are hosting a public meeting from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, to review upcoming road construction projects on Route 610 (Garrisonville Road) in Stafford County. The meeting will be held at Anne E. Moncure Elementary School, 75 Moncure Lane in Stafford.

VDOT and Stafford County officials will present details and discuss potential traffic impacts of three projects:

• Route 1/Onville Road intersection improvements
• Garrisonville Road widening from Onville Road to Eustace Road
• Southbound Route 1 turn lane construction at Garrisonville Road

The meeting will begin with an open house format. The public will have the opportunity to review project maps and ask questions. Presentations on the three projects will begin at 6:30 p.m. Staff will be available to answer questions and address concerns.

VDOT’s 14-county Fredericksburg District includes the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford in the Fredericksburg area; Northumberland, Richmond, Lancaster and Westmoreland counties in the Northern Neck; Essex, Gloucester, King & Queen, King William, Mathews and Middlesex counties in the Middle Peninsula.
