Merry Christmas! After the day spent opening gifts and sharing food with family and friends, continue the celebration at these holiday events on Christmas Weekend 2015.

Light Shows
Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens located at 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Ct, Vienna, Va. Beginning Nov. 13, 2015, and lasting until Jan. 3, 2016. Nightly 5:30 – 10 p.m. Tickets from $5 to $13.

Bull Run’s Festival of Lights is taking place Nov. 18, 2015, through Jan. 3, 2016, at 7700 Bull Run Dr., Centreville, Va. Hours are Monday – Thursday: 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Fridays – Sunday and holidays (Thanksgiving day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day): 5:30 to 10 p.m. Monday – Thursday $15 Cars (1-14 people), $25 Van (15-34 people), $50 Bus (35 or more people). Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays: $20 Cars (1-14 people), $25 Cars – (only on Dec. 5, 12, 19, 26), $30 Van (15-34 people), $55 Bus (35 or more people).

Meadow Event Park Illuminate Light Show & Santa’s Village Nov. 21, 2015, – Jan. 2, 2016, from 5:30-10 p.m. Located at 13191 Dawn Blvd., Doswell, VA 23047. Tickets cost $25 for cars holding (1-9 passengers), $55 with a limousine or mini-bus (vehicle size or 10-34 passengers) and $100 for full-size bus admission (vehicle size or 35 or more passengers).

ZooLights 2015 Nov. 27 – Jan. 1, 2016. Closed Dec. 24, 25 and 31. Hours are 5 – 9 p.m. at the National Zoo 3001 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. Admission is free, though parking is $10 for member and $20 for nonmembers.

Dominion GardenFest of Lights at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden November 27, 2015, through Jan. 11, 2016. Closed Dec. 24 and 25. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is located at 1800 Lakeside Ave, Richmond, Va., Admission is $12 adults, $11 seniors (age 55+), $8 children (ages 3 – 12), Free for children under age 3. Garden members receive discounts.

Busch Gardens Christmas Town Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 – Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015. One Busch Gardens Blvd. Williamsburg, Va. Admission is $30.

Pathway of Peace. Follow the Pathway of Peace around the National Christmas Tree in President’s Park, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave SW, Washington, D.C. View the state and territory trees with special handmade ornaments unique to each tree. Watch the model trains travel around the base of the National Christmas Tree. The Pathway of Peace is generally open to the public from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The Nutcracker Ballet
The Washington Ballet
The Washington Ballet presents “The Nutcracker” set in historic Georgetown with historical figures. Performances run December 3 – 27 at the Warner Theatre, 513 13th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Tickets range from $30 – $120.

Virginia Ballet Company
Saturday, Dec. 26, working dress rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. – Cost $10
December 28, 29 and 30 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. – Cost $20 – $30

Displays
A Wee Christmas at Kenmore Dollhouse and Miniatures Show
Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m; Sundays 12 – 4 p.m. through December 30. Closed December 24 and 25.
Crowninshield Museum Building, Kenmore Plantation, 1201 Washington Ave., Fredericksburg
Admission to Kenmore and Exhibit: $10 adults, $5 students, under 6 free.
Exhibit only: $5 adults, $2.50 students, under 6 free.

29th Annual Gingerbread House Contest and Exhibit
Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m; Sundays 12 – 4 p.m. through December 30. Closed December 24 and 25.
Ferry Farm George Washington’s Boyhood Home, 268 Kings Hwy., Fredericksburg, VA
General Admission to Ferry Farm and the Exhibit: $8 adults, $4 students, under 6 free.
Exhibit Only: $4 adults, $2 students, under 6 free.
