Adam and Rhonda Fried are the Germanna Community College Educational Foundation’s 2016 Philanthropists of the Year.

In 2010, Atlantic Builders CEO Adam Fried and his wife Rhonda made a commitment to fund Germanna scholarships for deserving and needy students in the Fredericksburg area.

“The Atlantic Builders Scholarship Fund has sent scholars from Germanna out into every walk of life, including engineering, medicine and environmental science,” said C. Douglas Elliott, the college’s vice president for institutional advancement and the foundation’s executive director. “Adam and Rhonda Fried and Atlantic Builders have been longtime friends of Germanna.”

The Germanna Educational Foundation will honor the Frieds on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at an event featuring cuisine from around the world and specialty cocktails. It begins at 6 p.m at Stevenson’s Ridge, 6901 Meeting St., Spotsylvania.

For sponsorships and tickets, email [email protected] or call 540/423-9060.

Last year’s Germanna Distinguished Philantrhopist of the Year was Kent Farmer, president and CEO of Rappahannock Electric Cooperative.

Atlantic Builders is an award winning, established, privately owned regional builder of new homes.
