Heed the Warnings and Stay Off the Roads

by | Jan 23, 2016 | Traffic

This is just the kind of view a Virginia State Police Captain likes to see when there’s already 5 to 6 inches of snow on the ground and even more to come — an empty interstate. That means folks are heeding the warnings and staying safe by staying home.

This photo was taken shortly before 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, on Interstate 81 at the 84 mile marker in Wythe County.
