Adventure Brewing Company is among 20 breweries tapping Kerri’s Cure on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016.

“It was a collaboration to raise money for Kerri Rose’s cancer treatment,” Stan Johnson and Tim Bornholtz of Adventure Brewing told Ted Schubel on Town Talk. Kerri and her husband Matt own Forge Brew Works in Lorton, Va.

In March 2015, Kerri and Matt learned they were expecting their first child. In August, they learned Kerri had Stage 4 stomach cancer. Their son Lance was born in September — two months early so that Kerri could begin chemotherapy.

Kerri died this month, at age 32.

Proceeds from tonight’s special beer release will now cover outstanding medical bills and help pay for Lance’s education.

Adventure Brewing is located at 33 Perchwood Dr., Fredericksburg (Stafford County).
