Germanna to Request EDA Grant for Fredericksburg Center for Advanced Technology

Germanna Community College is requesting a five-year grant from the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority (EDA) for a Fredericksburg Center for Advanced Technology (Fred CAT).

Germanna President Dr. David Sam and Dr. Jeanne L. Wesley, Workforce and Community Relations vice president, will present their proposal during the EDA’s 8 a.m. regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016.

The request will be for $25,000 a year for five years, according to Michael Zitz, Germanna Community College director of Media & Community Relations. No other details were provided.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held in The Suite, on the second floor of City Hall, 715 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg.
