VRE Adds Ticket Vendor in Spotsylvania County

Virginia Railway Express (VRE) has added a ticket vendor in Spotsylvania County.

The 7-Eleven on 4640 Lee Hill School Dr. (Rt 17 about 3 miles from the VRE Spotsylvania Station) is selling all VRE fare media, including reduced fare. Transit Link Card (TLC) fares are not available at this location. WMATA SmartBenefits will be available soon.

“For a limited time, stop in and tell them you are a VRE rider and you can get a free coffee or soda,” VRE said.

Reduced Fare Tickets from Vendors
In order to continue to offer reduced fare tickets and better control the issuance of them, reduced fare tickets may only be purchased from selected ticket vendors.

Persons with disabilities and youth must have a VRE-issued reduced fare ID card in order to purchase reduced fare tickets.
