Fredericksburg’s Fourth Quarter 2015 Retail Report

The Fredericksburg Department of Economic Development and Tourism (EDT) released its fourth quarter 2015 retail report on February 18, 2016.

The report reviews the occupancy of the city’s ten shopping centers and the downtown retail district, which are:

Central Park – 26 vacancies
Eagle Village – 6 vacancies
Fredericksburg Shopping Center – 1 vacancy
Gateway Village – 6 vacancies
Greenbrier Shopping Center – 1 vacancy
Lee Plaza – 2 vacancies
Village Plaza – 0 vacancies
Westwood Center – 2 vacancies
Westwood Village – 2 vacancies
Cowan Center – 4 vacancies
Downtown Fredericksburg – 6 vacancies

Eagle Village
Little Caesars Pizza has opened a store in Eagle Village at 1217 Jefferson Davis Hwy.

Greens & Grains Café has taken over the former Salad Creations space at 1133 Jefferson Davis Hwy.

The first phase of Giant Food grocery store renovation is complete, with the second phase to be completed this summer.

Downtown Fredericksburg
New leases and openings in the fourth quarter of 2015 included:

Flowers by Val opened at 911 Caroline St.

The Bubble Bar by Bobby Pins & Blush moved to 600 Caroline St.

Ladyburg moved to a larger space at 726 Caroline St.

The Frenchman’s Corner has returned to downtown at 817 Caroline St.

The Free Lance-Star properties on Amelia and William Streets were purchased by WJ Vakos & Company for their William Square, LLC, project. Read more at Free Lance-Star building Sold to Local Developer.
