Spotsylvania County Litter Control is sponsoring a “Litter-Thon.”

“This roadside clean-up program can benefit non-profit groups that join the county program and “turn trash into cash,” said Kathy Smith, Spotsylvania County Government public information officer.

Nonprofit groups and clubs can register to pick-up trash along roadsides on Saturdays in April and May 2016. They’ll be paid $5 a bag.

The Litter Control Department will provide bags, Smith said
