“Pardon Our Dust” Meeting

5-7 p.m.
Knights of Pythias
330 Wallace Lane
Fredericksburg, VA 22408

A brief presentation will be delivered at 5:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m.

Construction will begin in late spring 2016. The project seeks to reduce congestion and driver delay at the intersection, by building additional turn lanes and through lanes and extending existing turn lanes.

Sidewalks and new lighting will be added at the intersection. The project will also upgrade traffic signal equipment to include pedestrian crossing features.

Construction will be completed in May 2018. Utility relocation work is underway now at the intersection.

An estimated average of 24,600 vehicles a day travel through the Route 1 and Harrison Road intersection, according to a 2015 VDOT traffic count.
