Leadership Fredericksburg Graduates Ninth Class

by | May 23, 2016 | Business

The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Fredericksburg program graduated its ninth class of Fellows during a May 20 ceremony at University of Mary Washington’s Stafford Campus.

The 25 Fellows in the 2016 class began their Leadership Fredericksburg journey in September, meeting monthly with community, business, nonprofit, political, and educational leaders. In addition, each Fellow was paired with a trained mentor from the business community who supported their progress throughout the program.

The participants also divided into four teams, each of which partnered with an area non-profit on a service project. “Each team presented deliverables – concrete results – to its partner,” said Chamber President Susan Spears. The participating non-profits were the Dr. Yum Project, The Conversation Project, Ralph Bunche Community Center, Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation.
