Friends and colleagues of B101.5 FM DJ Bill Carroll are working together to raise money to help pay medical expenses. Carroll has suffered a series of strokes this spring.

“Bill is so part of the community through his work here at Centennial Broadcasting and his own company [Bill Carroll Entertainment]; it seems everyone knows him,” said B101.5 FM General Manager Mark Bass. “As he begins his journey to recovery, we know the community will step up and help one of our own.”

“DJ’s United for Bill Carroll” will be held at 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Hard Times Cafe – Four Mile Fork, 5099 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Fredericksburg. DJ’s Tony B, Mike Vincent, Mike Smart, and Skotty Rock will join the team from the “B.” Admission is $10.

A GoFundMe page has also been established at Bill Carroll’s medical fundraiser.

“There has been such a tremendous outcry of people wanting to help anyway that they can,” organizers said on the page. “That being said … we are starting this GoFundMe in order to make sure this transition out of the hospital and into his house to relax and recuperate goes as smoothly and stress free as possible. EVERY donation is going entirely to Bill, for whatever he wants to use it for. Food, hospital bills, other bills, etc. Let us all return his awesome friendship and show him just how loved he is.”
