The Fredericksburg Department of Economic Development and Tourism (EDT) has released the first video in a planned six-part series titled “This is Fredericksburg, Virginia.”

“The series is designed to showcase why the City of Fredericksburg is such a great place to live, work and play,” said Bill Freehling, assistant director for Economic Development. “We’ve initially signed up for six videos to be produced by KK Media. Two will be rolled out each month. After the first three months, we will consider extending the series”

The first video is 2 minutes 23 seconds and features the Rappahannock River. “The City of Fredericksburg has big plans to maximize on the amenities the river has to offer,” the voice-over says. The video mentions the conservation easement, the 1.6-mile asphalt Heritage Trail along the river, the Rappahannock Canal Path, the planned Riverfront Park, and outdoor activities to enjoy on the river and along its banks.

Cost of the first six videos is $3,000. Freehling said the topics of the next five videos are “a secret for now.”

The EDT plans to showcase and promote the videos on their website and social media accounts, including their YouTube channel.
