Spencer Devon Brewing One Step Closer to an Outdoor Seating Area
Spencer Devon Brewing has received a grant from the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority (EDA) of up to $27,000 for its planned outdoor deck at 823 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. “The grant is contingent on Spencer Devon receiving matching grant funds from a state tourism program,” said Bill Freehling assistant director for Economic Development. Fredericksburg’s Bill Wyant Agency Designated a 2016 Allstate Premier Agency
Bill Wyant Agency, owned by Allstate exclusive agency owner Bill Wyant, has been designated an Allstate Premier Agency for 2016. The Premier Agency designation is awarded to Allstate agency owners who have demonstrated excellence in delivering an accessible, knowledgeable and personal customer experience while achieving outstanding business results. Sunshine Ballpark Foundation Receives Cloud-Based IT Service Donation from Proxios
IT as a Service (ITaaS) provider Proxios has donated cloud-based IT service to Fredericksburg’s Sunshine Ballpark Foundation. “As volunteers, we had a very difficult time sharing information and with Virtual Desktop, our board members can now view and save important information from just about anywhere,” said Bill Lynch, director of the Sunshine Ballpark Foundation. Fredericksburg resident and Proxios vice president Michael Euripides serves on the Sunshine Ballpark Foundation Board of Directors.

Duck Donuts Coming Soon to Eagle Village and Stafford Market Place
North Carolina-based Duck Donuts will soon open a Fredericksburg location at 1223 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Eagle Village, and in Stafford at 1475 Stafford Market Place. Russell A. DiGilio and Robin Griffith opened the first Duck Donuts in Kitty Hawk, N.C. in 2007. There are now more than 30 locations in six states.

Leadership Fredericksburg Application Deadline July 1
The application deadline for the tenth Leadership Fredericksburg class is July 1, 2016. This highly selective program accepts approximately 27 participants annually. The program begins with an orientation session in September, followed by eight monthly sessions in which participants learn about the businesses, issues, government, history, resources, and challenges that impact the economic and community dynamics of the Fredericksburg region.
