USA Today Names Germanna a “Best Community College in Virginia”

Germanna Community College was named in USA Today’s “The 10 best community colleges in Virginia” list, published June 18, 2016.

Germanna was recognized for its distance learning, nursing and other health care programs, and SkillUpVA, “a program designed to help students of all ages and backgrounds develop the necessary skills to advance through the ranks of their chosen career.”

The 10 best community colleges in list order are:
1 – Tidewater Community College
2 – Northern Virginia Community College
3 – Thomas Nelson Community College
4 – John Tyler Community College
5 – Virginia Highlands Community College
6 – J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College
7 – Dabney S. Lancaster Community College
8 – Paul D. Camp Community College
9 – Germanna Community College
10 – Mountain Empire Community College

USA Today College ranked the top 10 of Virginia’s 23 two-year colleges based on “relevant data from the U.S. Department of Education and the Virginia Community College System and using in-house metrics.”
