Rappahannock Area Community Services Board Accepting Distinguished Volunteer Nominations

The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB) is accepting nominations for its 31st annual Distinguished Volunteer Awards in the areas of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

The community is encouraged to submit nominations. Recipients will be chosen for creativity, initiative, leadership, dependability, inter-relationship with co-workers, the public and clients, and any special or outstanding acts or performance, according to RACSB Executive Director Ron Branscome.

Nominees should be a volunteer who is not compensated, and should not be a past recipient.

The nomination form is available online. Nominations are due by Friday, Aug. 19, to RACSB, Attn: Michelle Wagaman, 600 Jackson Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Nominations may also be emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 540-371-3753.

The awards will be presented at clinic open house events for area legislators and community members in October 2016.

The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board provides public mental health, intellectual disability, substance abuse, and prevention/early intervention services to the residents of the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford.
