Dixie’s Hair Studio at 301 Lafayette Blvd. in downtown Fredericksburg is closing as of July 30, 2016.

Owner Dixie Lee Whalen is not retiring, but returning to Downtown Nail & Hair Salon, at 105 William St., where she worked before opening her own business in 2005, her receptionist said.
