Morgan Wellman has been named co-owner of Ladyburg Bath and Body Apothecary in downtown Fredericksburg.

Wellman, a 19-year old junior at the University of Mary Washington (UMW), has been an integral part of the management team of the store since its opening in 2012.

“Morgan has been working at Ladyburg from the very first day we opened, and she’s has been a huge part of our success,” said company founder and Master Aesthetician Crystal Wellman, Morgan’s mother. “It was really just common sense to make her my partner and let her manage the retail sales, while I focus on our growing manufacturing and non-store sales.”

Morgan is a 2014 honors graduate of Mountain View High School, where she finished her education in just three years. She spent a year on an honors scholarship at Christopher Newport University, before transferring to UMW last year, where her studies are in Anthropology and Business.

Ladyburg produces handcrafted bath, body and skincare products in store, selling those and others sourced from local and American hand crafters. The store also hosts parties and events.

The Ladyburg store, which includes the production kitchen, is located at 726 Caroline St. in Fredericksburg.
