by | Sep 4, 2016 | Traffic

From the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Paving work is scheduled to begin on Princess Anne Street in Fredericksburg between Route 1 and Fauquier Street on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016.

Work will be underway on weekdays through Friday, Oct. 14, weather permitting. Work will begin near the Fauquier Street intersection and proceed north.

Motorists can expect brief daytime travel delays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Princess Anne Street may be reduced to one lane in the work zone during these hours. Additional work may occur outside of the travel lanes between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Motorists should stay alert for temporary traffic patterns, rough pavement, equipment, cones, barrels and workers. Motorists will be guided through the work zone by a flagging crew.

When complete, the project will provide a smoother travel surface for motorists and fresh pavement markings.
