Portrait Unveiling and Reception to Honor Former Library Director

Central Rappahannock Regional Library will honor former director Donna Cote with a presentation of House Joint Resolution No. 410 and the unveiling of a portrait by local artist Laurie Watkins on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016.

The program and reception begin at 5:30 p.m. at Headquarters Branch, 1201 Caroline St. in Fredericksburg. It’s open to the public.

Cote worked for Central Rappahannock Regional Library for 44 years, serving as director for 34 of those years. Under her leadership, the regional library system quadrupled in size.

Cote was an active member of the Virginia Library Association (VLA), serving as both president of VLA and as president of the Virginia Public Libraries Directors Association. She retired in September 2015, and passed away in February of 2016.
