One-Eyed Zombie Terror Trail 5K
Saturday, Oct. 15, 4 – 6 p.m.

Chose to either be a survivor or a zombie as you navigate 5 kilometers of forest trails and roads, while negotiating obstacles.
Registration is $25. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics.

Spooky Stories by the Shore
Friday, Oct. 14, 7 – 8 p.m. – Rain date October 15.

32nd Annual Ghost Walk in Downtown Fredericksburg
Friday, Oct. 21, 6 – 10 p.m.

Walking tours led by costumed guides from the UMW Historic Preservation Club feature historic sites from the book “The Ghosts of Fredericksburg and Nearby Environs”. Tours leave every 10 minutes.
Tickets are $6 for adults (13 and up); $4 for UMW students/alumni, faculty/staff, and military; $3 for children age 6 – 12; free for children 5 and younger.

Dead Whispers Haunted Attraction
Thursday through Monday, Oct. 27 – 31, 7 – 11 p.m.
The Village at Spotsylvania Towne Centre, 1 Towne Centre Blvd., Fredericksburg — across from Arhaus Furniture, and next to Books-A-Million.
Be on your guard because you don’t know what’s around the next dark corner of this haunted attraction.

Voices in the Dark
Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29, 7 p.m.
Picker’s Alley, upstairs at Picker’s Supply, 902 Caroline St., Fredericksburg
Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble presents John Pielmeier’s twisted thriller “Voices in the Dark.” This show rates an R for adult themes, violence, and language.

Scary Music for Organ

Harvest Festival Fly-In

Bring your kids for Trick-or-Treat aviation style. Watch different types of aircraft fly in, as well as getting up close. Special appearances by the Flying Circus and the Fairfax County Police Motor Squad. Airplane candy drops by Chuck Tippett of the Flying Circus.

Downtown Fredericksburg Trick-or-Treat

Head downtown Fredericksburg for Trick-or-Treating at participating businesses, while supplies last. Begin at Riverfront Park, where you’ll find free games and activities, and the map of participating businesses.

Historic Cemetery Tour
Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m., 12:45, and 2:30 p.m.
Start at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center, 706 Caroline St, Fredericksburg
Rappahannock Colonial Heritage Society’s 15th annual Historic Cemetery Tour visits St. George’s Episcopal Church cemetery, the Masonic Cemetery, and the grave of Mary Washington. Trolley to each site. Refreshments provided.

Goblins and Goodies

An afternoon of crafts and candy while we discover some cool facts about some not-so spooky critters. Costume prizes for the most unique and the best use of recycled materials in two age groups; up to 5, and 6 and over. Prizes awarded at 3:30 p.m. — must be present to win.

Halloween Hayride

Take a trip through the park park’s history, with re-enactments of the major events.

Stratford after Dark
Saturday Oct. 29, 5:30 – 9 p.m.

The first tour isat 6 p.m. The kids’ costume contest is from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

Friends of the Rappahannock Bat Talks

Friends of the Rappahannock’s Field Trip Coordinator Taylor McConnell will talk about bat needs and their ecological role. Madison Ryan, a certified Virginia Master Naturalist, will talk about their importance, and what is threatening their survival.

This family-friendly Halloween event will feature pumpkin chucking, a scavenger hunt, face painting, a bounce house, trick-or-treating, games, and food.
Sponsored by Capital Caring, the event is free, but donations to support services to those living with serious illness are welcomed.
