On the Firing Line with the Germans

In 1915, newsreel director and cinematographer Wilbur H. Durborough spent seven months with the German army in Russia and Turkey and shot 16,000 feet of film. Edited to nine reels and released in November of 1915, it is the only existing, essentially complete World War I feature-length documentary. The Library of Congress Film Preservation Lab has restored the documentary.

Stop in Friday and enjoy a cup of delicious hot cocoa and create your own gingerbread house around the fireplace. Reservations required, reservation cut off it November 16th. Take home your creation. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Annual Culpeper Downtown Holiday Open House
Sunday, November 20, 12 – 6 p.m.

Merchants will have their stores all decked out for the Holiday Season. There will be horse and carriage rides, trolley rides, wagon rides, live holiday music, and more. The tree lighting is at 5:15.

Restorative Yoga Workshop

We will practice centering your breath and body – aligning the physical and mental by practicing both gentle movement and stillness. We will use yoga props (blankets, bolsters, blocks) for proper support and alignment allowing maximum enjoyment of the poses.
