Military Affairs Council to Present Annual Report to the Community
The Military Affairs Council (MAC) of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a year-end Military Report to the Community on November 29 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the J. F. Fick Conference Center, 1301 Sam Perry Blvd. in Fredericksburg. Major General Timothy P. Williams, Adjutant General of Virginia will be the keynote speaker, along with four local Base Commanders: CAPT Mary Feinberg, Naval Base Dahlgren; Mr. Pete Sun, Fort A.P. Hill; COL Joseph Murray, Marine Corps Quantico; and CPT Chandler Pearson, Virginia Army National Guard (Fredericksburg unit). Trahos Phillips Dental Moving to Downtown Fredericksburg
Trahos Phillips Dental is relocating its office from Westwood Office Park to 607 Amelia St. in downtown Fredericksburg in early 2017. Norman Trahos, purchased the building for $780,000. Ben Keddie of Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite represented the buyer.
Medical Office Building Sold in Spotsylvania County
Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer announce the sale of 1139 Heatherstone Dr. in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Cornerstone Facilities, LLC, purchased the 2,440 square foot medical office building from Medical Partners, LLC, for $442,000 as an investment. Sharon E. Stafford Research and Technology Park Announces New Executive Director and Office Manager
The Stafford Research and Technology Park (STRP), a hybrid business incubator, accelerator, and technology park located at Quantico Corporate Center, has announced the selection of Michael Tentnowski as its new executive director. The selection was made after a national search and selection process. Previously, Mr. Tentnowski served as Executive Director for the Chesapeake Innovation Center.

Riverside Center for the Performing Arts Receives $10K Tourism Grant
Riverside Center for the Performing Arts received a $10,000 matching grant as part of Virginia Tourism Corporation’s (VTC) Marketing Leverage Program (MLP). Riverside was one of 43 local tourism initiatives statewide awarded a grant. The money will be used for their Riverside Center is for Theater Lovers initiative, according to Patrick A’Hearn
Producing Artistic Director. The grants are designed to help local and regional tourism entities attract more visitors by leveraging local marketing dollars, and will ultimately impact at least 159 other statewide tourism entities, according to a press release from the office of Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
Lifecycle Construction Purchases Retail Property on Caroline Street
Lifecycle Construction has purchased the 26,036-square-foot retail property at 1010 Caroline St. in Fredericksburg from Timothy S. Park for $950,000 as an investment. Jamie A. Scully, CCIM of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the buyer.
