City of Fredericksburg
Interstate 95 Southbound
(New) Monday, 9:30 p.m. ˗˗ 5 a.m. A single right lane on I-95 southbound at mile marker 131, which is the Fall Hill Avenue overpass, will be blocked for construction activities. Motorists should be alert to the crew working on the bridge piers.

Route 1 Southbound
(Update) Monday, noon – 3 p.m. and Tuesday –Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. – noon. Right turn lane closed intermittently for paving as part of extension of Mary Washington Boulevard, which is part of the Fall Hill Avenue widening project.

Fall Hill Avenue
(New) On Thursday afternoon, motorists should be prepared for a slight traffic shift on Fall Hill Avenue between the Rappahannock Canal and Wicklow Drive, and a second traffic shift on Fall Hill Avenue near Noble Way and Wegmans. Westbound traffic will be shifted onto new pavement while crews finish work in the median. Eastbound traffic will not be affected.
In addition, motorists should expect intermittent lane closures on Fall Hill Avenue between Carl D. Silver Parkway and the Rappahannock Canal Monday, Noon – 3 p.m., Tuesday ˗˗ Thursday, 9 a.m. ˗˗ 3 p.m., Friday, 9 a.m. ˗˗ noon.

Mary Washington Boulevard
Monday ˗˗ Saturday, 24 hours. Motorists should stay alert for ongoing work in the median of Mary Washington Boulevard between Route 1 and Sam Perry Boulevard as part of the Fall Hill Avenue widening project. Crews will be working to install new curb and paving. Lanes will remain open, but will be narrowed. Work will be underway in this area until the project is complete in January 2017.

Stafford County
(New) Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. ˗˗ 3:30 p.m. Crews will be inspecting various sign structures at the following locations these two days. Motorists should expect single lane closures and brief delays during these hours for the mobile work zones.

Interstate 95 Southbound ˗˗ Between mile marker 143.2, near Exit 143 (Route 610/Garrisonville Rd.) and mile marker 133.2, near Exit 133 (Route 17/Falmouth). All lanes will be open to traffic on I-95 southbound by 2:30 p.m.

Interstate 95 Northbound ˗˗ Between mile marker 132.1 and mile marker 133.6, near Exit 133 (Route 17/Falmouth).

Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) Southbound ˗˗ Between Route 610 (Garrisonville Road) and Route 637 (Telegraph Road).

Route 17 (Warrenton Road)˗˗ Between Plantation Drive and Solomon Drive

Route 610 (Garrisonville Road) ˗˗ Between Mine Road and Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway)

Route 1/Falmouth Bridge
(New) Monday, 8 p.m. ˗˗ 6 a.m. (Route 1 northbound) and 7 a.m. (Route 1 southbound) and Tuesday − Thursday, 10 p.m. ˗˗ 6 a.m. (Route 1 northbound) and 7 a.m. (Route 1 southbound.) Motorists should expect intermittent single lane closures on Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) northbound and southbound at the Falmouth Bridge. Crews will replace temporary asphalt patches on the bridge deck with concrete to provide a smoother, more durable travel surface and avoid potholes. Expect brief delays.

Route 17 (Warrenton Road)
(New) Monday, 9 a.m. ˗˗ 3:30 p.m. A single lane will be closed on westbound Route 17 from Cardinal Forest Drive to Village Parkway as crews install traffic signal loops. Motorists can expect brief delays.

Routine Maintenance
Monday − Friday, 6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Stay alert for mobile lane closures. Crews will perform routine maintenance activities at the following locations:
Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) – brush cutting
Route 218 (White Oak Road) – drainage
Route 633 (Widewater Road) – brush cutting
Route 633 (Arkendale Road) – mowing
Route 635 (Decatur Road) – brush cutting
Route 641 (Onville Road) – shoulder work
Route 646 (Tacketts Mill Road) – shoulder work
Route 728 (Flippo Road) – shoulder work
Route 1011 (Vernon Street) – patching
Route 1060 (Anderson Drive) – pipe installation

Spotsylvania County
Interstate 95 Northbound
(New) Sunday and Monday, 9 p.m. ˗˗ 5:30 a.m. Crews will be inspecting various sign structures between mile marker 125.5 which is near Exit 126 (Route 1/Massaponax) and mile marker 133.6 near Exit 133 (Route 17/Falmouth). Motorists should expect single lane closures and brief delays during these hours for the mobile work zones.

Traffic Signal Structure Safety Inspection
(New) Thursday ˗˗ Friday, 8:30 a.m. ˗˗ 4:30 p.m. Drivers need to be alert as they approach these intersections, as crews will be conducting traffic signal safety inspections. There will be alternating single lane mobile closures during the day at the following intersections in all directions:
Route 208 (Courthouse Road) and Route 613 (Brock Road)
Route 208 (Courthouse Road) and Route 628 (Smith Station Road)
Route 208 (Courthouse Road) and Four Mile Fork Center
Route 636 (Mine Road) and Campbell Drive
Route 636 (Mine Road) and Falcon Drive

Routine Maintenance
Monday − Friday, 6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Stay alert for mobile lane closures. Crews will perform routine maintenance activities at the following locations:
Route 608 (Massaponax Church Road) – mowing
Route 608 (Benchmark Road) – mowing
Route 622 (Fairview Road) – prepping for bridge work
Route 643 (Haley’s Mill) – rural rustic road preparation
Route 717 (Holly Lane) – rural rustic road preparation
Route 1342 (Boxwood Lane) – pipe installation

Caroline County
Route 721 (Sparta Road) Bridge Work
(Update) Route 721 (Sparta Road) remains closed to through traffic at the Maracossic Creek bridge. Work is expected to continue through Friday, Dec. 9 as VDOT crews upgrade the bridge with new steel beams, new timber, and guardrail. The bridge is located near Route 640 (Maracossic Drive) and Route 645 (Pendleton Road.) Signs and message boards are posted along the recommended detour route.

Routine Maintenance
Monday − Friday, 6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Stay alert for mobile lane closures. Crews will perform routine maintenance activities at the following locations:
Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) – shoulder work
Route 17 (Tidewater Trail) – ditching
Route 629 (Minarchi Road) – machine roadway
Route 652 (Cool Water Road) – tree trimming
Route 716 (Mcduff Road) – tree trimming
Route 766 (Burma Road) – machine roadway
