Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Region

A winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Fredericksburg region for 1 a.m. through 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017.

Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible, especially in Spotsylvania, Stafford, and King George counties.

Detailed Forecast
Friday, Jan. 6: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. North wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday Night: Snow, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 22. North wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Saturday: Snow. High near 28. North wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 26. Northwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 12.
