Canstruction returns to Spotsylvania Towne Centre January 12 – 16, 2017, to benefit the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank.

Canstruction is a competition showcasing structures made entirely of cans of food. Five-person teams build sculptures out of canned goods, depicting how people can make a difference in the lives of the hungry. Participants use art and design, mathematics, and problem solving skills to create fantastic, innovative structures.

Structures will be built on Thursday and Friday, and on display Saturday through Monday.

The public can vote for the People’s Choice Award on Saturday and Sunday, by donating $1 or one canned good per vote.

Judging takes place on Monday, with winners announced at a 4:30 p.m. awards ceremony.

Spotsylvania Towne Centre is located at 137 Spotsylvania Mall Drive in Spotsylvania, Virginia.
