All Roads Lead to the Kitchen

Aby and Chef Blake from Bistro Bethem fell in love while working at a restaurant, discovered their passion for the business, and opened a restaurant in the one town that always felt like home — Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Bistro Bethem is one of several restaurants in downtown Fredericksburg owned and operated by a husband and wife duo. With all that togetherness, the two maintain their friendship (and marriage) by excelling in their own areas.

Aby is social, loves the small town feel of downtown Fredericksburg, and the opportunity to get to know her customers.

Blake is the passionate, creative chef, who uses his Marine Corps background to take charge in the kitchen. “If all I had to do was cook every day, I’d be a happy man every single day,” he said.

Blake finds the kitchen environment to have similar qualities to the Corps – camaraderie and respect among the staff. He loves to look out on a full dining room, and appreciates that his customers made special plans to enjoy his food.

Make a reservation to enjoy Bistro Bethem today. Their passion for fresh seasonal ingredients is apparent in each meal, and their menu is constantly changing to provide the creative outlet Blake seeks.

This is a dynamite duo that doesn’t disappoint.
