St. Patrick’s Day at Irish Eyes of Virginia
Friday, March 17, at Irish Eyes of Virginia, 725 Caroline St., Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Irish Eyes of Virginia has been the hub of the Irish Community in Fredericksburg for 30 years. Each year Bernadette and Mike travel back home to Ireland to select a host of unique and hard to find treasures from Ireland’s leading artists and craftspeople. Each year on St. Patrick’s Day, they host a celebration that includes Irish coffee. They are open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 12 – 6 p.m. Sunday.

Annual Wearing of the Green at Potomac Point Winery
Friday, March 17, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Potomac Point Winery, 275 Decatur Rd, Stafford, VA 22554
Wear your most festive green attire to come wine and dine. There will be a special Irish bistro menu. Partake in the annual leprechaun toss, and enjoy the festive live music. There will be wine discounts.

35th Annual Barbara Hicks Geslock Women’s Forum
Saturday, March 18, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m, at James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave., Fredericksburg
A day of networking, exhibits, and workshops. Your $20 registration fee includes a

National Capital Trackers Model Train Display
Saturday and Sunday, March 18 and 19, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, 18900 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Triangle, VA 22172
The National Capital Trackers “O” Gauge Train Club will have their model trains on display in Leatherneck Gallery Saturday and Sunday. Come see model railroad locomotives in action. Free.

Red Cross Centennial Celebration
Saturday, March 18, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the General Washington Building Hunter Street parking lot, 2217 Princess Anne St. Fredericksburg
The Rappahannock Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will celebrate 100 years of service with a free festival featuring:
• A Walk−100 Steps for 100 Years−in support of the Red Cross mission. Walkers should wear a red shirt to walk Heritage Trail Loop at Old Mill Park. Check-in will be at the entrance to the trail at Caroline and Germania Streets.
• Exhibits of Emergency Response Vehicles
• Face Painting
• Food Trucks
• Music

St. Patrick’s Day Festival Sponsored by Spencer Devon Brewing
Saturday, March 18, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. at Riverfront Park on Sophia Street in downtown Fredericksburg.
Craft beer, live music and Irish heritage presentations.

Adventure Brewing South 15th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Saturday, March 18, 12 – 4 p.m.
The 15th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts off at noon at Adventure Brewing South, 3300 Dill Smith Dr., Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
The parade features fire trucks, classic cars, high school marching bands, community organizations, Irish dancers, horses, military equipment, and local pageant winners.
The parade ends at A. Smith Bowman Distillery, where they’ll be hosting the annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival, which included local vendors, live music and entertainment, family friendly activities, food by the UFO Food Truck, and beer. This event is in the Spotsylvania County Business Park, a mile from downtown Fredericksburg.

Friends of the Rappahannock Sixth Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival
Saturday, March 18, 1 to 5 p.m., at the Daniel Technology Center at Germanna Community College, 18121 Technology Dr., Culpeper, VA
Saturday, March 25, 1 to 5 p.m., at the University of Mary Washington, Dodd Auditorium, 1301 College Ave., Fredericksburg, VA
Festival tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. School students are free of charge, college students are free with an ID. Tickets may be purchased online at www.riverfriends.org

Historic Fredericksburg Foundation Annual Meeting
Sunday, March 19, 2 p.m., at the Renwick Building, 815 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg
The 2017 Preservation Awards will be presented, recognizing outstanding achievements in historic preservation in Fredericksburg for 2016. New and prospective members are welcome at 1:30 p.m. for a meet and greet. Refreshments to follow. Free.

The Culpeper Boys of Summer: Our Baseball Hall of Famers
Sunday, March 19, 2 – 4 p.m. at The Culpeper Museum of History, 113 South Commerce St, Culpeper
Jackie Howell, “The Baseball Bloggess,” will discuss the life and career of two baseball hall of famers Peter Hill and Eppa Rixey.

Classical Guitar Concert
Sunday, March 19, 3 p.m., at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 905 Princess Anne St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Peter Griggs will present a program of classical guitar including Renaissance, Flamenco, Brazilian, jazz, blues and original pieces. $10 admission; children/students free. Part of the St. George’s Chamber Concert Series.
