Obituary

Pamela Joan Thomas passed away peacefully Saturday, May 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Mary Washington Hospital.

Pamela was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on June 6, 1947. She was a devoted and loving daughter, sister and wife. She spent the majority of her life living in Virginia and quickly went from high school to the life of an independent career woman. Working in the field of law, she was a devoted senior legal secretary to DeViere Pierson of the law firm Pierson, Seemes, and Finley in Washington, D.C. for eighteen years.

Pamela was loving, giving, generous and quick witted. She was a determined, dedicated and loyal employee and friend. She was an advocate and lover of all animals, especially dogs, and showed that through her work volunteering at Deepwood Veterinary and Deep Run Breeding Farm. She was a volunteer at the Sunrise Retirement Community helping the elderly.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Thomas; daughters Tammy Fisher (Ernest Jr.) and Kelly Thomas; son Paul E. Thomas; grandchildren Alexandria, Conner and Taylor; sister Patricia Holland (Walt); and nephew Chris Holland.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 12 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
