Rappahannock Adult Activities Plant Sale
Rappahannock Adult Activities Inc. (RAAI) Spring Plant Sale will begin April 21 and run through May 6, at the RAAI Greenhouse, 750 Kings Hwy., in Stafford.
Plants will be for sale Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
More than 100 varieties of plants will be available, grown through RAAI’s horticulture therapy program. Proceeds benefit RAAI’s day support program for adults with developmental disabilities.

Earth Day Celebration at Caledon State Park
Saturday, April 22, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Caledon State Park, 11617 Caledon Rd, King George, VA 22485
One Man’s Trash Is Another Man’s Art Contest — Celebrate Earth Day and Art at Caledon.
Each year tons of trash wash up on our shoreline. Participants will help clean the beach, then use that trash to build a unique piece of art. Judges will pick winners for some cool prizes. Work in teams or by yourself. Cosponsored by the Fredericksburg Center for Creative Arts. For more information call Caledon at 540-663-3861.

Earth Day Fredericksburg
Saturday, April 22, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
This free festival is filled with hands-on exhibits, live music, food, and much more. From beekeepers to birds of prey, pony rides to face painting, environmental organizations to scouting groups, there is something for everyone. Sponsored by Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation. Raindate: April 29

Mary Washington House Plant Sale and Garden Open House
Saturday, April 22, 1 – 3 p.m. at Mary Washington House, 1200 Charles St., Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Washington Heritage Museum gardener Jeannette Rose will be available to answer your garden questions. Admission to the garden is free.

Fredericksburg Area Museum Grand Reopening
Saturday, April 22, 4 – 6 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Area Museum, 907 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg, VA 22401
A ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted by Fredericksburg VA Main Street in front of the museum at 907 Princess Anne St., will begin the festivities at 4 p.m., followed by a gallery reception.

Spring Open House at Gari Melchers Home and Studio at Belmont
Sunday, April 23, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Enjoy the beauty of Belmont, and take a tour of the historic house and the artist’s studio. Wander the gardens and hike the woodland trails Drop-in Preschool Palette classes will be offered from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Yoga Foundation of Fredericksburg will be offering a free, all-levels friendly 60-minute yoga class on the grounds at 1 p.m. The Roots House will be open 12 noon until 3 p.m., during which volunteer guides will give the public a rare view of the building and share its fascinating history. The Soft Serve Truck will be selling frozen treats from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free.
