Operation Medicine Cabinet to collect unused prescription meds

by | Apr 27, 2017 | Health & Wellness

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 10 AM – 2 PM the Stafford Sheriff’s Office will participate in “Operation Medicine Cabinet” to be held at Stafford Hospital Center near the Emergency Room entrance.

This event, coordinated regionally by Partners in Aging, encourages citizens to clean out medicine cabinets and safely dispose of all unneeded, expired or unused prescriptions and sharps. It is suggested to ink-out the names on the medicine containers.

Bag the items, drive through and hand the bag to a representative for proper, secure and anonymous disposal. There are nine locations to serve the region. Additional location information is found at this link – http://bit.ly/2q40NVE

Unused medicine remaining in a home increases the chance of accidental poisoning and drug abuse. The Stafford Sheriff’s Office encourages the entire community to participate in this event.
