Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is expanding its local commercial cleaning operations by buying ServiceMaster Commercial Cleaning of Fredericksburg from Williams Maintenance.

ServiceMaster Clean, based in Memphis, has around 1,300 franchise locations around the world. The company provides a range of residential and commercial services including cleaning, janitorial services, commercial carpet cleaning, floor care, and residential carpet and upholstery cleaning.

“While we are new to the ServiceMaster Clean franchise network, we are not new to providing janitorial services,” states Donnie Tolson, RGI President & CEO. “Teaming with ServiceMaster will enhance our capabilities and allow to us to provide a wide array of services to our current and future customers as we fulfill our mission.”

RGI is already in the cleaning business, operating the RGI Laundry as well as cleaning government facilities. RGI has expanded in the past by adding other operations, including College Hunks Hauling and Moving and Taskforce Staffing.

The new company will be known as ServiceMaster Commercial Cleaning for Good. The acquisition will raise RGI’s current employee count to just over 650.
