FREDERICKSBURG – Motorists should anticipate overnight lane closures and travel delays next week on Interstate 95 southbound in Spotsylvania County between Monday, May 15 through Friday, May 19.
Crews will continue their work to make improvements to the bridge over the Ni River which requires double lane closures.
The Ni River bridge is located at mile marker 121, just south of Exit 126/Massaponax.
I-95 lanes will be closed on the following schedule, weather permitting:
Monday, May 15 ˗˗ Thursday, May 18
I-95 Southbound at mile marker 121 (Ni River Bridge) south of Exit 126 (Route 1/Massaponax)
· Double lane closure at 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
· Single lane closure from 4:30 to 7 a.m.
· All lanes will reopen by 7 a.m.
Friday, May 19
I-95 Southbound at mile marker 121 (Ni River Bridge) south of Exit 126 (Route 1/Massaponax)
· Double lane closure at 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday, May 20
· All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Saturday, May 20
