Route 632 in Spotsylvania closed May 15-17

FREDERICKSBURG – Next week, Route 632 (Hickory Ridge Road) in Spotsylvania County will be closed to through traffic between Route 1 and Route 608 (Massaponax Church Road) to allow crews to continue their work to install two culvert pipes underneath the road.

Through traffic will not be permitted to travel on this section of Hickory Ridge Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 17.

Residents living on the closed portion of Hickory Ridge Road will be permitted to enter the work zone to access their homes and driveways.

Signs are posted to direct motorists to use Route 608 (Massaponax Church Road) as the recommended detour route.

Crews are installing two culvert pipes as part of the construction project underway to build new turn lanes and improve the Route 1 and Hickory Ridge Road intersection.

The $2 million project seeks to reduce crashes and improve traffic flow.

Construction is expected to be complete by July 11, 2017.
