Hunter wins juried art show at FCCA

Robert S. Hunter of Colonial Beach won first place for two prints in The Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts’  National Juried Exhibit, “Textures and Patterns,” held during the May First Friday
Juror David R. White selected Hunter’s archival pigmented prints, Considering the Devine” and “The Persuasion of Chaos.” The prints will be on display until May 26h.  White awarded 2nd Place to “Offering I” by Barbara Taylor Hall of Fredericksburg and 3rd Place to “South Pole” by Wendy Thieler of San Francisco.  
 
White named 10 Honorable Mention Recognitions:

“Individuality” acrylic painting by Tarver Harris of Stafford, VA
“Red in Gold” photograph by Becki Heye of Fredericksburg, VA

“No. 2” serigraphy by Pete Morelewicz of Fredericksburg, VA
“Honeybee Buzz” oil painting by Dallas Mosman of Midlothian, VA
“Night Blooms” marbling & charcoal by Lynette Reed of Fredericksburg, VA
“Atonal” mixed media painting by Sally Rhone-Kubarek of Fredericksburg, VA
“Digging up the Past” mixed media painting by Kay L. Roscoe of Fredericksburg, VA
“Melted” recycled materials collage by Elizabeth Shumate of Newport News, VA
 
All of the works may be viewed at FCCA during normal operating hours until May 25th.
