From Fredericksburg Police Department

Shots Fired:
1900 block New Kent Street, 5/18, 12:10 a.m. Several City residents reported hearing shots fired
at the corner of Newell Street and New Kent Street. Patrol responded and discovered multiple
shell casings. A residence in the 1900 block of New Kent Street was struck by a bullet. All
residences in the vicinity were checked and no persons were injured. The investigation is
ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police immediately at

Motor Vehicle Theft:
100 block Gibson Street, 5/17, 10:00 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole
his green, 1995 Honda Civic that was left unlocked with the key in the ignition. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
Larceny – Theft from Building:
2500 block Cowan Boulevard, 5/10, 2:15 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person
stole candlesticks from her apartment. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Vandalism/ Destruction of Property:
600 block Greystone Court, 5/14, 3:00 p.m. A City resident reported that a group of young males
between the ages of nine and 14 were kicking the fire extinguisher case outside of an apartment
building. When the group of young males saw him approaching, they ran away. The investigation
is ongoing
Larceny – Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts:
800 block Myrick Street, 5/16, 7:00 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole
her vehicle’s license plate. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Unlawful Entry:
300 block Riverside Manor Boulevard, 5/15, 5:00 p.m. A property manager reported that an
unknown person forced entry into a vacant apartment. No items were missing or damaged. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Arrests:
John J. Musselman, 57, of Partlow, Virginia was arrested on charges of driving under the
influence and not wearing a helmet while operating a motorcycle.
Amanda L. King, 25, of Stafford County was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
Arlena M. Lewis, 44, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a charge of assault and battery on a
family member.
Sentoria R. Poole, 25, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.
Jazzeall-Lanee A. Courtney, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a charge of possession of
marijuana.
Morrison D. Burton, 30, of Spotsylvania County was arrested on a charge of possession of
marijuana.
Stephen M. Erle, 44, of Fredericksburg was arrested on an Orange County warrant.
Joy R. Smith, 31, of Midland, Virginia was arrested on a Fauquier County capias.
