The Fredericksburg Walmart Supercenter at 1800 Carl D. Silver Parkway is throwing a party to celebrate its remodeling from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 10 and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 1.

The store will offer:

  • Kids activity tent: decorate thank-you cards to send members of the military
  • Food and beverage samples
  • Shopping tote giveaways (while supplies last)

As part of the celebration of the remodeled Fredericksburg store, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation recently provided $5,000 in grants to the Thurman Brisbane Homeless Shelter, Fredericksburg City School System, Loisann’s Hope House, Fredericksburg Police Department and Fredericksburg Fire Department.

The company remodeled the electronics department to make it easier for customers to test laptops, tablets and other products before making a selection, while an updated baby department now offers strollers on floor level. Other features include an expanded hardware selection with more tools for DIY projects, an expanded selection in produce, bakery and deli departments, and the addition of self-checkouts.
