From Germanna Community College
Dr. Janet Gullickson, Germanna Community College’s sixth president, began work this week.
She emerged from a field of more than 100 candidates during a national search.
In her previous position she had served as the president of Spokane Falls Community College since 2012.
William Thomas, the chair of the Germanna College Board, said that during public forums held as part of the hiring process, members of the community and GCC faculty and staff “felt a strong connection to Dr. Gullickson. She really shares their priorities, and seems to understand the challenges we face in a fast-growing region.”
