From Fredericksburg Police Department
Brandishing of Firearm:
Chick-Fil-A drive-thru, 1698 Carl D. Silver Parkway, 9/23, 3:42 p.m. A citizen reported that she was
in the drive-thru lane when an unknown person (suspect) driving the vehicle behind her began
honking the horn. The woman exited her vehicle to see what the concern was and the suspect also
exited his vehicle. A verbal altercation ensued and the suspect pulled out a black handgun. The
reporting party got back in her vehicle and drove away. The suspect is described as a black male,
approximately 5’7”, 180 pounds with tattoos covering both of his arms. He was wearing a black tshirt,
dark pants, and a black-and-white baseball hat. The suspect was driving an orange Ford
Mustang at the time of the incident.
Larceny – Purse Snatching:
700 block Caroline Street, 9/22, 8:15 p.m. A female was sitting on a bench with friends near the
Visitor Center when she felt her purse strap move against the rear of her leg. She turned and saw an
unknown male walking away with her purse. The victim told the suspect she was calling the police
at which time the suspect dropped the purse and left the area in a white Chevy truck with the word
“Chipper’s” on the side and a license plate beginning with “VVP.” The suspect is described as a
white male in his late teens/early twenties approximately 5’3”, 200 pounds, with short/unkempt hair,
and was wearing a dark-flannel shirt with dark pants. The investigation is ongoing.
Vandalism of Motor Vehicle:
Downtown Fredericksburg, 9/23, 4:00 p.m. Multiple people reported that their vehicles’ tires were
punctured by a sharp object in various locations:
– 200 block of George street, two vehicles
– Public parking lot, 700 block Sophia Street, one vehicle
– Courtyard Marriott parking lot, 500 block Sophia Street, two vehicles
– 300 block William Street, one vehicle
Madonna House parking lot, 2600 Cowan Boulevard, 9/22, 9:00 a.m. Eight vehicles were reported
to have had their tires punctured by a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses.
800 block Weedon Street, 9/24, 6:30 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person shattered
his vehicle’s rear window. No suspects or witnesses.
1900 block College Avenue, 9/22, 6:30 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person
shattered both passenger side windows of his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses.
Larceny:
800 block William Street, 9/21, 3:00 p.m. A City resident reported that she left her suitcase
unattended on the sidewalk and it was stolen. The suitcase is blue with wheels and contained clothes.
No suspects or witnesses.
1500 block Jefferson Davis Highway, 9/22, 5:40 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown
person stole her son’s mountain bike that was secured to a tree on her property. No suspects or
witnesses.
