From Fredericksburg Police Department

Public Works is attempting to repair multiple water main breaks affecting areas around the downtown district, to include:

– the intersection of Princess Anne Street and Lafayette Boulevard
– the intersection of Dixon Street and Princess Anne Street
– Caroline Street between Bridgewater Street and Freedom Lane

Due to the water main breaks, the following roads are closed:

– Caroline Street is closed between Amaret Street and Freedom Lane
– All lanes closed at the intersection of Princess Anne Street and Lafayette Boulevard with the except of one southbound lane
– Intersection of Dixon Street and Tyler Street

Please use alternative routes and avoid these areas.
