Late Spring Hours Announced for Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park

Fredericksburg, VA — Late spring hours of operations for all public buildings of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park span from Thursday, May 10 to Friday, June 8, 2018.   They are similar to the earlier spring hours with the exception of the Jackson Shrine hours expanding to a daily operation, and the weekend program going into effect for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 28. The hours will be as follows:

  • Fredericksburg  Battlefield Visitor Center: daily, 9-5
  • Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center: daily, 9-5
  • Chatham Manor: daily 9-4:30
  • “Stonewall” Jackson Shrine: daily, 9-5
  • Wilderness Exhibit Shelter: staffed weekends and Memorial day, 9:45-5
  • Spotsylvania Court House Exhibit Shelter: staffed weekends and Memorial Day, 10-6
  • Ellwood Manor: staffed weekends and Memorial Day, 10-5

The following walking tours will take place on weekends and the Memorial Day holiday.  Please check the park website or call one of the visitor centers for more specific information:

Sunken Road Walking tour:

Weekends and Memorial Day at 11:251:252:25 and 3:25, meets at the Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center, 1013 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401

Jackson Wounding Walking tour:

Weekends and Memorial Day at 11:251:252:25 and 3:25, meets at the Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center, 9100 Plank Road, Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA 22553

No Turning Back Walking tour:

Weekends and Memorial Day at 11:30 and 2:30, meets at the Wilderness Exhibit Shelter, 35347 Constitution Highway, Locust Grove, VA 22508

Bloody Angle Walking tour: 

Weekends and Memorial Day at 1:00 and 4:00, meets on the Spotsylvania Court House Battlefield at Tour Stop Number 3, GPS Coordinates: 38.223558, -77.601730

This schedule is anticipated to remain in effect through Friday, June 8, after which the full summer program will take effect.
