Organizers for the Mount Airy Bluegrass Festival held at historic Mount Airy Farm in Warsaw announced that one hundred festival tickets will go on sale at the gate on the day of the show (Saturday, June 30th) starting at noon.

“There are still some tickets available online, but those are going fast,” said Festival Co-Director Catherine Emery. To ensure a great day for everyone, including those who might be coming to the Rivah from out of town or have an extra out-of-town guest or two, event organizers decided to make 100 tickets available at the gate.

“We’ve worked hard all year to make sure this festival will be a day our community will carry with them the rest of the year – one of those unforgettable summer afternoons,” Emery said.

Day of show tickets can be purchased for $45 anytime after 12 p.m. at the gate. Cash or check only. The event address is 361 Millpond Rd, Warsaw.

Online ticket sales will be available until Wednesday, June 27th at www.mountairy.farm or by calling 804-313-0815.

Music by local pickers JOSH GRIGSBY & COUNTY LINE starts at 3pm followed by North Carolina’s THE TRAILBLAZERS with special guest IVY PHILLIPS, winner of the 2017 Galax Bluegrass Fiddle Contest.

At 5 p.m. Grammy Award winning artist RALPH STANLEY II & THE CLINCH MOUNTAIN BOYS take to the stage followed immediately by the legendarySELDOM SCENE.

Parking for the festival is FREE and opens at NOON. The Festival gates, including VIP and General Admission seating, open at 2 p.m. Delicious pork BBQ, Hubs Virginia Peanuts and other fine foods as well as Virginia-made craft ales by Champion Brewing Company will be available for purchase.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to the local non-profit, Friends of the Rappahannock.
