Autism Conference in Fredericksburg Oct. 13

The Rappahannock Area Autism Council is sponsoring the conference, Autism: Putting the Puzzle Together Across the Lifespan, on October 13, 2018, at Grace Church of Fredericksburg from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The conference is about autism and issues faced across the lifespan by a person on the spectrum and is for parents, families, service providers, self-advocates, and the community.

Keynote speaker for the event is D. J. Svobada, creator of Imagifriends. D.J. was diagnosed at the age of three with Autism Spectrum Disorder with psychomotor retardation. Today, D.J. is a dynamic motivational public speaker, accomplished artist and author with three books to his credit. Conference topics include Early Intervention, eating problems, behavioral concerns, recreational and social opportunities, transition from high school, and advocacy.
