Spotsylvania Courthouse Village Food Truck Rodeo

Spotsylvania, Va. – Spotsylvania County’s Department of Economic Development & Tourism and Spotsylvania Courthouse Village developer W.J. Vakos Companies, will hold the 3rd Annual Courthouse Village Food Truck Rodeo Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 11 am-3 pm at 9019 Old Battlefield Boulevard, Spotsylvania, VA 22553. Merchants Square will be filled with approximately 30 food vendors offering a variety of cuisines for purchase. Stop by for the opportunity to vote on your favorite vendor by 2:30 pm. Vendors are judged based on customer choices, taking into consideration food quality, service and overall experience. A few non-food vendors will offer merchandise for sale during the event.

New this year is a beer garden provided by Spotsylvania’s Maltese Brewery. Music by DJ Heav Ham and entertainment by the Courthouse School of Ballet. There will be a martial arts exhibition by J Tiger Martial Arts, as well as a fitness demonstration by Anytime Fitness at Merchants Square Pavilion.

Rodeo held “rain or shine” with free admission and parking. Limited tables and chairs available for seating, but attendees are welcome to bring a blankets and chairs to sit on the lawn. This is a “dog friendly” event for well-behaved, leashed dogs.

Contest award trophies are again being designed and created by local artisan Hunter Perkinson, a 1973 graduate of Spotsylvania High School, who began his blacksmith career in 1990 after attending Bear Mountain Outdoor School in Hightown, Virginia. Since 1998, he has been a member of the Central Virginia Blacksmith Guild and is sole proprietor of Featherstone Forge. His artwork is displayed at LibertyTown Arts Workshop in downtown Fredericksburg and online at www.featherstone.com.

Visitors can browse through local shops in the Village which include: Anytime Fitness; Designline Hair Studio; Rita’s Relics; El Patron; Edward Jones; Subway; Harvest Market; Courthouse Chiropractor; Fred Christian Health Clinic; Stephen Judy (Attorney at law) and New Heights Academy.
