Head Start Garden Sprouts
A new program is growing at Downtown Greens!
After a successful pilot program last spring, Head Start teachers and students wanted more. Now Head Start Garden Sprouts has taken root for the new school year. Beth McClain is leading this new gardening program for more than 120 local preschoolers.

The Tuesday following Thanksgiving, known as Giving Tuesday, is an international day of giving. Created to unite people in a day of philanthropy, Giving Tuesday offers the opportunity to support nonprofit organizations who are working to make the world a better place.

Family Yoga in the Garden (Rescheduled)
Saturday, October 13, 9:30 am
Christine Garmon of Yoga Foundation of Fredericksburg will lead an all-ages, all-levels yoga class in the upper garden. FREE, though donations will be gladly accepted for both YOFO and Downtown Greens.
Garden Hours
Thursdays 3-6 PM and Saturdays 9 AM – noon
Join us in the garden to help maintain the greenspace and learn more about sustainable and organic gardening from our staff.
Downtown Greens, established in 1995, fosters community involvement and growth by protecting and nurturing urban greenspace through collaborative environmental stewardship and experiential education.
