Weapons
9 South Gateway Drive. 10/10, 5:10 p.m. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance with a weapon at Wawa. The caller advised that he was in an accident with another vehicle and the driver had pointed a gun at him. Upon arrival, deputies learned from the victim that the driver had fled the scene shortly before they arrived. The victim said they collided while pulling out of Wawa. A verbal altercation ensued, and the suspect pulled out a gun and began waving it around, pointing it at the victim. The suspect was identified as Jayquon Powers-Brown, 21, of Fredericksburg. Deputies were able to contact the suspect who agreed to meet them at the Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with assault, brandishing a weapon, hit and run, driving without a license, and having no insurance. He was released on a $3000.00 unsecured bond.

Burglary
Maple Street. 10/14. Two chain saws stolen from locked storage area attached to victim’s residence. There are no suspects at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Larcenies
217 Garrisonville Road, 10/13, 5:03 p.m. Loss prevention reports past occurred larceny. Suspect does not pay for all items at self-checkout at Walmart on 10/3. The investigation is ongoing.
St. Johns Court, 10/12. Wallets stolen from two unsecured vehicles parked at residence. Credit cards from wallets later used to make fraudulent purchases totaling $2,715.69 at various locations. The investigation is ongoing.
1 McWhirt Loop, 10/12. Multiple pairs of leggings and other small items stolen from CVS. The items were valued at a total cost of $52.73. The suspect was issued a summons for shoplifting.
100 block of Austin Run Boulevard, 10/12, 5:15 p.m. Larceny of jewelry from vehicle. Estimated cost of stolen item is $4800. The investigation is ongoing.
Basswood Drive, 10/11. Package containing new security cameras stolen from the doorstep of victim’s residence in the early morning hours of 10/4. The investigation is ongoing.

Fraud
2608 Jefferson Davis Highway, 10/13, 7:44 p.m. Suspects arrested for defrauding a restaurant and public intoxication after becoming intoxicated at a local restaurant and not paying the tab.
Jose Granados, 40, of Stafford and Mario Ortiz, 34, of Stafford were incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on $1000.00 bonds.

Vandalisms
33 Wicomico Drive, 10/13, 12:24 a.m. Vehicle parked outside local restaurant was vandalized. The investigation is ongoing.
700 block of Green Tree Road, 10/10, 8:05 p.m. Right rear tire of vehicle slashed. The investigation is ongoing.
PGA Drive, 10/10, 1:31 p.m. Front door of business showed signs of minor damage. The investigation is ongoing.
