City Police investigating unsuccessful gas station robbery

From Fredericksburg City Police:

The suspect implied to the store clerk that he had a weapon. Patrol officers set up a perimeter around the store and began their investigation while a detective was called and requested to respond to the incident. A K-9 track was also conducted.

The suspect was dropped off and picked up from the gas station in a large black SUV with damage to the right-side passenger doors. The suspect is described as a tall, thin, black male and was wearing hooded sweatshirt and a black hooded jacket. Photos of the suspect and the vehicle involved are attached.
